ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR 1ST YEAR STUDENTS
OF LAW, MANAGEMENT AND I.T.COURSES
CPJ Institute of Management & Technology (A Part of CPJ Group of Institutions) organized Orientation Programme on 3rd August, 2024 to welcome 1st Year Students of BBA, BCA, B. Tech (CSE), B.A.LL.B, LL.B and LL.M. Degree Courses. Hon’ble Justice Rajesh Tandon, Former Judge, High Court of Uttarakhand and Mr. Harpreet Singh, Senior Standing Counsel, DRI & DGGI, High Court of Delhi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. The programme began with National Anthem followed by lighting of auspicious lamp, by the distinguished guests along with Mr. Yugank Chaturvedi, Director General, Dr. Neha Mittal, Director (Academics), Dr. Amit Jain, Director(CA) and other dignitaries. Thereafter the beautiful dancing act was performed our two students on singing and music in praise of Maa Saraswati – Goddess of Knowledge.

The Orientation program highlighted the excellent infrastructural facilities and best support system of teaching and learning available in CPJIMT for the benefits of students. In his welcome address, Mr. Yugank Chaturvedi emphasized the importance of discipline and self belief in a student’s life. During the one day informative and motivating event students were guided and motivated with the Keynote address by both the learned guests. The Chief Guest Hon’ble Justice Rajesh Tandon in the beginning of his speech reminded us the importance of Ganesh Vandana that it brings good fortune in both the personal and professional life without any obstacles. Students that perform Ganesh Vandana are blessed with enhanced wisdom and knowledge. Justice Tandon complimented new students and said that they were lucky to get admission in this premier institution of the city. He further added that Students of Law and Legal Studies, Management and Information Technology have great scope for their future career to succeed and shine in this competitive age. The former Judge Shri Tandon cited honorable Supreme Court Decisions related to protection fundamental rights and right to education. In a historic judgment, the Supreme Court rules in favor of Mohini Jain. The Court holds that the denial of education due to financial constraints violates the fundamental right to life under Article 21. The Chief Guest pointed that there is adequate possibility of success and progress in the field of Litigation, Corporate and IPR etc. He also motivated the students that “you are lucky to succeed securing your seat CPJIMT which is one the premier institutions of Delhi and NCR.

Thereafter, Shri Harpreet Singh, learned advocate addressed the students to encourage and enlighten them for their respect 2 to 5 years educational journey with sense of motivation and satisfaction in the prominent Institution of U.G. and PG courses i.e. CPJIMT. On the basis of his varied experience he emphasized that Law is a noble profession. For Law Graduates various jobs are available in good quantity. Be it a Legal firm, Corporate, Banking, Insurance, Government Departments, LPO etc. In all these services there is always demand of good lawyers. The dedicated and hardworking students can even crack Judiciary Exam. The learned advocate concluded his address with an advice to the students that nothing is impossible for an eager, committed and person with probity. The learned guest speaker appreciated quality education being imparted in CPJIMT and assured the students that they are are in safe hands. Teachers of CPJIMT are well qualified. He thanked the management of CPJIMT for organizing such an educating and motivating program for newly admitted students and providing him opportunity to interact with the students on this important occasion.

Dr. Yugank Chaturvedi, in his concluding address and interactions exemplified the best balancing acts by human beings. He said Life Balance means putting enough effort into your academic work while also taking to enjoy your hobby, social, sporting and cultural aspects being a student. Director General said that thinking time is as important as reading time and writing time. It is necessary for every student to plan a daily time schedule, set goals, make friends and maintain healthy and active life style.
Dr. Neha Mittal, Director Academics and Dr. Amit Jain, Director Corporate affairs, highlighted the infrastructure facilities for the co-curricular activities, sports facilities and various platforms provided for students to participate and gaining practical exposure. They further added that here in CPJIMT we nurture students to show better academic results. The Management and Facultoes provide every facility to ensure students become more motivated, highly skilled and well trained to excel in their future career as global citizens.

The Orientation Programme concluded with refreshment and Vote of thanks proposed by Ms Ishmeet Kaur Sodhi, Assistant Professor and Campus Coordinator. She expressed deep gratitude to the distinguished guest speakers, students and all those who present on the occasion.
